Bestest

Found a grey hair last week. I imagined an overreaction might cause a chain reaction resulting in a full mane of the silver stuff and am more than pleased to report I was able to remain calm in the face of extreme distress. When something as significant as this comes into your life it is surprising how the body and mind reacts. I am currently re-thinking my philosophy to life and have found much to ponder in the latin phrase 'Carpe diem' and the movement of Existentialism.

Any readers who missed us at Ginglik, The 7th Knight in Shepherds Bush quite possibly missed out on one of the best nights London has to offer on a Sunday night...and not just 'cause we played a blinder! Those who were there enjoyed acoustic, quirky songs from Gavin Osborn and 'Blaine shaming' incredible table magic from Benjamin Broomfield. This was wrapped in a blanket of compere comedy and live illustrations projected onto the wall as the artists performed. The MüVs went on and jammed out the set for 45 mins, had a fantastic time and have been re-booked for Sunday 17th December. I really can't say enough about this gig, please come along it is the best night I've played at in years and such fun I expect that the queue to get in will be miles long before too long.

We've got a fortnight off the circuit before we play one of the biggest gigs of the year at The Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen, 16th December. We play 1st support to The Deadbeats at the ultra cool 'Fresh n Up' as part of an incredible line up featuring Sam Beer, Johnny Flynn, Nat Jenkins and Tom Mansi and the Icebreakers.

This is a guest list event and we reckon it's gonna be packed out. Contact The MüVs at themuvs@gmail.com to get on the in-list, my Mum is coming too. Hoxton Square is a very cool place to spend a Saturday night - try saying it "...hoxton on Saturday", sounds good eh? Some words make you feel like the dogs, Badger is is one of my faves, right up there with Bubble and plop. That's that then, best words in the English language:
  1. Hoxton
  2. Badger
  3. Bubble
  4. Plop
Even more exciting is we'll be having a guest onstage for the first time on the 16th. Ruth Galliers, a magical combination of sweet, jazzy vocals and delicious good fun, joins The MüVs to bring some grace and decent dance müvs to the set. Can't wait, check her out.

In between then and now we've got some rehearsal time and party time booked in. The camera comes with us, watch this space for news. Here are some more pix of us in our new get up, dressing up is brill.
