The Wrong Trousers

Look what happened to me on Friday:

Not a hint of exaggeration, I'm 100% stuck fast in the door. This is the same pair of jeans that caught fire a couple of years back at a P.J. Harvey gig, perhaps that might have been a sign that I should have stopped wearing them. They are the exact opposite of my lucky/pulling pants.

I've been writing and recording some instrumental music for a corporate client, sounds impressive eh? Actually turned out really nice and contrary to what I imagined would pop out, I'm really proud the work. Hopefully getting a piece ready for a film soon enough which I'm now really looking forward to. Also been writing with Miss Galliers after months of saying we must, the song has come out brilliant and I'm look forward to sharing it with you all when it's available.

The recording session was an experience; wrote in a really long note to show off Ruth's amazing soulful voice. We took several takes, all of which were great but I had never created such a loud sound as this girl belting that note in many years of recording demos at home. I include drums and electric guitars in that comparison - she can really, really sing.

A small triumph will occur on 5th May when we headline at Oxford Street's famous Metro Club:
Our new drum head will make it's debut. This is one of the things you get very excited about when you're struggling against Simon Cowell's endless crop of crap as a young band of, shock horror, proper musicians. If you want to see just how excited we'll be getting then click here for a flyer to come watch us on the night.

We're going to be making the video for Chav Song very soon and need to get cast together. If you fancy 15 minutes of Burberry clad fame then send an email to themuvs@gmail.com or get in touch on MySpace. More details will follow.

And finally, EP2 is almost ready for release. We go to print this week and it looks amazing, the recording too are very impressive and I can't wait to type the blog where I can finally invite you to have listen.

Lots of love xx
