Free Badges!

To my friends wasting time at work,

Tasha (see 'Stunt Man' post if neccessary, but I feel we're all friends now) did a gig last Sunday week - please drop a comment if my northenisms are inaccurate, it's been a while. Despite being a school night, I managed the trip and experienced a full set of emotions on an enjoyable night out:-

Feeble: The venue was 'The Garage' in Islington (think a bigger, shitter, more expensive Roadhouse). I was on the guest list sweety - I know, I move in such high circles these days. Unfortunatley, being on guest list no longer guarantees you free drink, a backstage pass and sex on demand like it did in the good old days, rather, a £1 saving and a longer queue in the rain while the doorman tries to find you on his list. Still, we're on it so we're in.

Terrified: I was suddenly aware of how unfashionable I was. I was Joey from friends next to Lou Reed, Ralph Machio to Mr Miagi, GAP to Diesel, Belinda Carlisle...I was Belinda Carlisle, 'nuff said. And then there was the music, more frightening than the 'Big One' on a windy day. Check out Cantankerous if you dare, probably NOT safe to play this loudly at work.

Joyous: Weapons of Mass Belief were superb. Reminded me of Rage Against The Machine. Proper enjoyed sinking some Red Stripe (£3 a can, see first emotion) and nodding my head inconspicuously.

Inconsolably melancholy
: Missed my train. Crap.

The MüVs are developing. Phil D came round on Sunday for an X-factor style audition on bass (he's through ladies, thanks for all your votes). In the market for a drummer with vocals if poss. Any candidates should contact simoncowell@hooklineandsinger.co.uk (it'll work promise).

There's also been some development around Chav Song in that we are expecting delivery of badges by the end of the week for a strictly limited promotional period, please post a comment to claim your badge (yes they're free).

You have to post a comment to get your badge as up until now it's just been Kate, Mum and Weaver. Jen Bolina was the latest to join in and demanded that more peeps get involved, so Jen, this one's for you.

Lots of people (more than 3, less than 10,000) have been asking how they can buy the EP online. Paypal will be added to the website imminently which will provide a payment point for the entire HL&S empire including all The MüVs merchandise I can think of.

Gigs coming soon, stay posted. X
